Secrets of the Plain

Last Sunday I toured the ‘military estate’ on Salisbury Plain with Gloucestershire Archaeology, to see some of the sites not usually open to the public.  Among the plethora of prehistoric monuments there was one strange sight you might like to see – the 13th century church in the ‘lost’ village of Imber, taken over by the army in 1944 to train for D-Day.SAMSUNG DIGIMAX 420
