England’s Homer

Not long ago the author Judith Starkston (Hand of Fire, Fireship Press) kindly invited me to contribute a guest contribution to her blog.  It was a piece about Richard Hakluyt, the Elizabethan chronicler who inspired me to write my series of novels based on stories in his book Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques and Discoveries of the English Nation.  This piece is intended to be the first of a set of short pieces giving background to the two novels I have  so far written, Freedom’s Pilgrim (e-book, Amazon and Smashwords 2014)  and The Frozen Dream (to be published). My next piece will be about the Inquisition in Mexico and the persecution of the Spanish conversos.

You will find the piece on the appropriate page under ENGLAND’S HOMER.
