Roman Day and Happy Returns

Last week the members of Charlton Kings and Leckhampton local history societies had a Roman Day, which I organised on their behalf, visiting Chedworth Villa in the morning and going on to the Corinium Museum in Cirencester in the afternoon.  It was also the fortieth birthday of the Charlton Kings society, so we  took along a cake provided by our programme secretary, our Chairman cut the cake and we shared it over coffee at the Villa before our tour.
